Quint Theriault, Cpl, USMC

All Around * Inducted 2022

Quint Theriault is the son of Julian and Tommie Jean Theriault. He was born in White Sulphur Springs, MT in 1961. Quint was active in High School rodeo where he competed in BB, SB, BR, and TR. He qualified for the Montana High School State Finals in SB in 1979 and 1980.

After graduating High School, Quint enlisted in the USMC in 1980. He did boot camp at MCRD San Diego, Ca and was then stationed at MCAGCC 29 Palms, CA as an artilleryman. He discovered military rodeo while at 29 Palms and quickly became one of the best all around hands in the business. Quint competed in BB, SB, BR, SW, CD, and the Wild Horse Race. He would go on to win 29 Palms BR Rookie of the Year as well as multiple Wild Horse Race titles at rodeos in Del Mar, CA, Tucson, AZ and 29 Palms, CA. Wins in SB at 29 Palms, CA and Tucson, AZ would solidify his AA cowboy credentials. Quint also competed at the Yuma Jaycees World Military Championship Rodeo from 1980-1983 in SB and BR. His last military rodeo was at 29 Palms, CA in 1984 where he won the BR and AA titles.

After separating from the Marine Corp in 1984, Quint moved back to Montana where he got married and raised a family while staying involved in the Western Lifestyle. He competed in the Northern Rodeo Association from 1984-1996 in BB, SB, and BR. When his competition days were over, Quint would continue his involvement in rodeo as an announcer and by serving on the Jefferson County Rodeo Association Board helping to produce his hometown rodeo.

Born: 1961 in White Sulphur Springs, MT
