Adam Pollard was born the 4th son of Robert and Janet Pollard in Midland, TX. He attended Schreiner University and North Texas State from 1989 to 1993 before enlisting.
After boot camp, Adam was assigned to the 1stForce Recon at Camp Pendleton, CA as a Logistics Management Specialist. Serving from 1993 to 1996, he earned 47 meritorious citations. While stationed at Camp Pendleton, he was introduced to Military Rodeo and began competing in BB, SB, and CD.
Adam made his mark quickly setting the CD fastest time record at the 1993 MRCA World Finals Rodeo. He holds the arena record at the Camp Pendleton rodeo with a 91-point score in the BB riding. His leadership qualities were noted, and he was selected to be president of the MRCA Contestant Board of Directors in 1994. After medically separating in 1996 due to an ankle injury, he returned to Midland, TX where he competed in Team Roping and Cutting Horse competitions. Between 1997 and 2021 Adam has won over $400,000 in Team Roping. He was the Zotis Amateur Champion Cutter in 2014 and won 11 Bridle Spectaculars in the National Reigned Cow Horse competitions.
His leadership was once again recognized when he was elected to be Vice President and then President of the Professional Armed Forces Rodeo Assoc. (PAFRA) 2013 -2015. In this role he oversaw the biggest payout of added money in PAFRA history at $70,000.
Adam serves as President of the MRCA which he led the effort to re-start in 2018 and a board member of the Military Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame. Since 2018 his fund-raising efforts have been instrumental in ensuring the Hall of Fame Inductions have grown bigger each year and that the MRCA was able to hold a World Finals in 2020 for the first time in 20 years.
